Another tranquil day. A day to plan ahead and to ponder on life and all its mysteries.
Also a day to wait and see what will come out of the special EU meeting tomorrow, on the crisis in Georgia.
It seems that Germany and France have started to take back some of their harsh standpoints of threats of sanctions against Russia. Alone will then be Great Britain, of course together with the three Baltic countries and Poland, and then Sweden… or actually foreign minister Carl Bildt…
The summit will most likely turn out some hard wordings against Russia and a slight condemnation… unless, of course, that USA can pressure the EU to do something more. But I doubt is, as EU definitely needs Russia much more than Russian needs the EU.
And after that perhaps South Ossetia and Abkhazia as well as the new geographical Georgia can take a break and try to stabilise their countries.
A vain hope is that USA will not give Georgia new weapons, as then crazy things could happen all over again.
Now we wait the soon upcoming next point on the Caucasus agenda, the faith of the Crimea.
